Tell us a little about you
I have been married to JP for 24 years. We got married on June 15th – my birthday. It made for a great birthday but lots of crazy anniversaries. We have 3 kids: Taylor, Kylie and Ashton who we love to pieces.
What is something people don’t know about you?
I was once a contestant on the $100,000 Pyramid game show. And no, I didn’t win the money. But I did have fun!
What is your favorite food?
If calories didn’t exist it would be a tie between deep dish pizza and french apple pie a la mode (heated of course). But since I live in the real world, peanut butter cup frozen yogurt….sigh.
What is your favorite book?
Well, most definitely the Bible. I have read it from Genesis to Revelation every year since 2000 (with the exception of 2005, I think). But please don’t feel intimidated or impressed. I used to look at people who did this and thought they were waaaaaaaay more disciplined than me and just figured I could never do it, or even try. But once I did, I wondered why I hadn’t read it through before and was completely mesmorized.
After the Bible, I love Pride and Prejudice. I read it through (again) this past summer. I’m a sucker for spunky characters and a die hard love story.
Who is your favorite superhero?
Wonder Woman (Seriously, you have to admit our lives would be just a teensy easier if we had her powers).
Where were you born?
A little town called Greeneville, Tennesee. My dad was a football coach and my mom a homemaker. We moved to Nashville when I was five, Oklahoma when I was 12 and California at 15. I love California, but I also know that people are people wherever you go (or live) and you can find wonderful people all over!
What was your first job?
I was a salesperson at Barney’s clothing store in the Thousand Oaks mall in Southern California.
My favorite sports team is
Any team my children are a part of and UCLA – my alma mater. Go Bruins!
