You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.

That was the response that flashed on my computer screen about 30 seconds ago. Seems making 2 comments on one person’s blog within 5 minutes was just too much.  I had to laugh.  I think sometimes my husband and kids would like to post that comment every now and then–especially when I start barking out orders about chores and “To Do” lists and honey-do projects. I can go days without so much as a comment, and then BAM!  I’m on a roll.

Sometimes it’s just too much to process at once.

I recently learned that the male brain cannot watch TV and carry on a conversation simultaneously.  Which explains the years of “I told you about such and such”, “No, you didn’t” conversations JP and I have had on occasion. Guess I’ve been posting too many comments too quickly–or at least at inopportune times.

So, although I haven’t overloaded any of my loved ones with too much, too soon today (yet), I’ll take the automatically generated computer message I received as a reminder.

Slow down, girl. Make sure you’re not posting too many comments too quickly. 🙂

By the way, I received the “too many comments” message on my friend Lysa Terkeurst’s blog. She’s featuring another’s friend, Emmy Blakely (www.muchadoaboutyou.com) today AND yesterday’s post was absolutely hysterical.  If you need a good laugh, you really should dash on over to www.lysaterkeurst.com.  You’ll thank me for it.

So, I thought of several joke comments to put about writing comments about a blog about comments, but they all seemed kinda dumb and not really that clever. So then I thought, what if I write a meta-comment about how I thought of dumb jokes but was too cool to write them. But that seems like it’s getting overused nowadays too. So I’m not sure what kinda comment to write.

Hey Donna! This was hilarious. That explains a lot! I too now know why my husband doesn’t remember things I tell him. -Sue (from speaking group)
